Hours Part-time, 9am to 1pm M-F and evenings and weekends as needed.

General Statement of Job

Responsible for coordinating and creating an engaging social media, storytelling, and multimedia presence supporting Texas is IT Apprenticeship positive brand awareness, strategic marketing goals, and educational mission to reach and engage with culturally diverse ACC students, external stakeholders, and employers.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Coordinates day-to-day duties, including creating and updating content for TXIT social media accounts, curating the editorial calendar, drafting social copy, capturing photos and videos, reports issues, and planning and implementing campaigns across various online platforms.
  2. Supports media relations efforts for TXIT with writing, planning, coordination, and execution of activities and events that promote the image.
  3. Participates in and provides social media coverage of TXIT events and other storytelling opportunities (post COVID), as needed, to increase business and student engagement.
  4. Evaluates and reports on insights, analytics, and tracing metrics.
  5. Monitors social channels for community engagement and conversation opportunities; joins the conversation on social media platforms through outreach and response. Responds appropriately to follower comments and messages.
  6. Builds and maintains relationships within ACC and with community and industry partners, to coordinate social network activity and optimize promotional opportunities.
  7. Conceptualizes new ways to increase TXIT awareness and user engagement (videos, slideshows, podcasts, social applications, and blogging).
