To support Distance Learning instructors and students and AE Enrollment.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Develops and provides information to the public, students, and faculty regarding Distance Learning (DL) programs, services and technologies; updates and maintains information through the use of the DL help line, email, website, social media outreach, etc.
  2. Serves as liaison for DL faculty, staff, and students seeking access to college support services.
  3. Develops, maintains, and evaluates DL support services and acts as first point of contact for DL support services.
  4. Develops and maintains databases, online forms, web resources, and other electronic modes of information; maintains and updates websites.
  5. Assists with the organization, preparation, and implementation of enrollment events (application, assessment, and registration).
  6. Works with Austin Community College (ACC) AE Admissions desks, AE staff and faculty, ACC at large, ACC AE partners, and the community to disseminate accurate information about AE DL and enrollment.
  7. Assists with training of AE Staff and Faculty, including Admissions staff, to make sure enrollment processes are implemented correctly.
  8. Administers pre- and post- assessments (progress testing) required for grant compliance. Assists assessors as needed.
  9. Assists in the development, production, and evaluation of support materials for DL students in collaboration with departments providing distributed learning delivery technologies, including online course delivery, and streaming media.
  10. Assists with the development of marketing activities and promotional materials for DL activities and courses and represents AE at College and community events.
