General Statement of Job

Responsible for the overall strategic direction for ACC's Salesforce CRM Platform in conjunction with our solutions delivery strategy, IT strategies, and overall college strategies as directed and specified by the AVP, Solutions Delivery. The Director will also be responsible for the overall design, development, security, performance, governance, stability, and operations of the platform.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Suggest programs to be implemented to achieve goals, work with external vendors and internal resources on achieving the goals of the program, track results and resolve problems that may come up.
  2. Responsible for the overall platform health, security, disaster recovery, back up, stability, integrity, performance, and operations within the Salesforce ecosystem as directed and specified by the AVP of Solutions Delivery.
  3. Works with the Product Owners and Program Managers on priorities for the platform.
  4. Understands all aspects of ACC's Salesforce.com platform configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to ongoing releases.
  5. Establishes and maintains a collaborative relationship with business stakeholders, such as Student Engagement & Student Recruitment.
  6. Manages developers and coaching them on the best practices of Salesforce and Cloud Native development.
  7. Establishes work plans and staffing for project activities and arranging for recruitment or assignment of project personnel, as needed.
  8. Manages projects and deliver in a fast-paced support environment, driving all issues to resolution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and efficient task execution.
  9. Responsible for documenting release process, performing releases between Test, UAT and Production sandboxes and executing pre/post deployment verification.
  10. Manages periodic  releases to ensure new features will not impact our existing functionality and assess opportunities for use.
  11. Ensures satisfactory code coverage is implemented before deployments.
  12. Establishes and optimizes the CI/CD pipeline.
  13. Influences technical direction for large-scale, highly complex technical initiatives and/or projects requiring integration of cross-functional systems. Provides guidance in evaluating application systems.
  14. Ensures adoption and adherence to Salesforce.com governance framework and usage guidelines.
  15. Establishes and implements best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, test automation, and data integrity, and security.
