General Statement of Job

Provides leadership and project management for enterprise application implementations, operations, maintenance and compliance. In doing so, the Director of ERP Services will be charged with helping craft and execute on the strategic vision for our growing organization and managing staff towards a successful implementation of Workday and its core components (Finance, HCM, and Payroll).  The Director of ERP Services will play a critical role in ensuring the ERP team is efficiently maximized, enterprise applications are operational 24/7, and that the District is supported in its strategic vision to provide exceptional results to support and sustain existing ERP operations while working to successfully transition ACC to Workday.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Oversees the functions of application management, implementation, integration, and end-user support for enterprise applications.
  2. Ensures acceptable application uptime for enterprise applications per pre-defined SLAs.
  3. Oversees the planning and strategy for leveraging/improving ACC's various enterprise applications to support continued expansion and integration with other solutions.
  4. Effectively works with PMO (Project Management Office) on enterprise application efforts and Workday module implementations.
  5. Strategically plans for enterprise application upgrades, new modules, and enhancements to include user requirements, testing, training and development, and change management across all affected areas.
  6. Identifies opportunities for simplification, consolidation, and integration of enterprise applications to ease the end-user experience while maximizing team efficiency.
  7. Design and Implement Efficient Processes and Systems
    • Responsible for enterprise applications oversight and management including maintenance, configuration/system setup, position control assignment, system access/permissions, troubleshooting, security, testing, vendor management, uptime, system performance, billing and planning and implementation of tasks, system upgrades and new features.
    • Develops and implements strategies to reduce manual data entry, increase automation, and data interface/integration across systems working with the support of database, reporting, and integrations teams.
    • Designs and implements training programs related to all enterprise applications, as well as making sure the cultural change management is in place for new processes and procedures related to the applications.
    • Develops and implements operating calendar and planning and tracking mechanisms to assure timely, effective and efficient implementation.
    • Identifies opportunities for increase integration and automation between enterprise applications to allow ACC to effectively and more efficiently scale.
  8. Serve as the business partner to various departments within the organization to ensure proper and maximized utilization of district enterprise applications
    • Meets with functional and department leaders to identify process inefficiencies and opportunities for process/application re-engineering.
    • Develops department point of view on effective automation to ensure that we can support other departments and stakeholders as they seek to better leverage the reporting and automation features of our enterprise applications.
    • Effectively prioritizes competing priorities to ensure we are maximizing the impact enterprise applications and the broader team can have on the organization.
  9. Develop and retain a high performing ERP administration team.
    • Develops trust and leverage influence of team to drive strong results.
    • Develops current team competencies and skill sets to be systems thinkers and contributors to the business purpose of the ERP function.
    • Ensures the ERP team receives strong evaluations of customer satisfaction and data accuracy/consistency from key stakeholders.
    • Supports team members to identify opportunities for professional development, and actively develop team members.
    • Serves as a key member of the IT Leadership Team.
