This position is based in Austin, TX.  The candidate must be local to Austin and be able to report to work in person when necessary.

General Statement of Job

This position will help lay the foundation for a robust and meaningful business intelligence platform that serves Austin Community College District and help support their new enterprise information management strategy.

Description of Duties and Tasks
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Participates in the definition, implementation, and support of college-wide BI strategy.
  2. Takes a leading role in defining the processes, standards, and roadmap for data warehousing, analytical reporting, operational reporting, ETL/ELT processes, data governance, and master data management.
  3. Designs and implements the data warehouse, operational data layers, and ETL/ELT processes.
  4. Works closely with the business to gather requirements for meaningful infrastructure that drives effective analytics solutions for end users.
  5. Works closely with other developers to define and build out the data model and transformation processes that drive the data warehouse.
  6. Provides technical leadership to other members of the Business Intelligence Team.
  7. Participates in BI product evaluations and business decisions to ensure fit and scale into the platform and the organization.
  8. Keeps pace with a nimble team of experienced people in an agile environment.
