General Statement of Job

To provide advising and assistance to current and potential students in the Continuing Education manufacturing program.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Guides students in Continuing Education (CE) manufacturing programs to develop effective problem-solving skills, decision-making, and personal responsibility to overcome barriers impeding academic success.
  2. Assists students to complete their educational goals by addressing academic concerns and life challenges; may collaborate with faculty and campus staff.
  3. Gathers and analyzes student data; assists with student retention efforts in the CE manufacturing program.
  4. Advises students in the CE manufacturing program on course selection, degree and certificate planning, review of transfer information, and determination of ultimate employment objectives.
  5. Provides students with accurate information on degrees, certificates, courses, college policies and procedures, career service providers, and other campus and community resources.
  6. Serves as a resource for students navigating college processes such as student code of conduct, grade appeals, and complaint process.
  7. Coordinates referrals to available college and community services as needed to assist students in achieving academic and career success.
  8. Assists with community outreach, external networking, and recruiting of students for the CE manufacturing.
  9. Performs other tasks as assigned that support CE manufacturing program students.
