General Statement of Job

ACC is seeking a creative, results-driven fundraising professional with an established track record of diverse and sophisticated advancement experience, planning, and leadership who can contribute to the success of ACC and the ACC Foundation sharing its mission, vision and values.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Directs and administers the overall planning and activities of ACC Foundation to achieve outcomes in key areas including donor development, direct fundraising, capacity building and Board development.  Provides leadership in the creation and execution of a development plan to support College initiatives.
  2. Identifies, solicits, and secures gifts for ACC from interested individuals and organizations.
  3. Supports the College in its efforts to acquire resources. Serves as a resource to assist in developing cases for support, determining funding equations, and implementing a process for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, and approaching potential donors.
  4. Provides leadership in the development of policies, procedures, and planning related to resource development.
  5. Designs and executes a staffing plan and leads staff towards successful goals and objectives.  Supervises, trains, coaches, directs, coordinates, and disciplines personnel while adhering to organizational human resource policies and procedures as well as related employment laws. Recommends hire and termination personnel actions for positions supervised.
  6. Prepares all ACC Foundation Board of Director's meeting materials and minutes of the meetings. Manages ACC Foundation records and historical data.
  7. Provides effective management of College funds in the ACC Foundation.  Manages comprehensive records for ACC Foundation reporting including state and federal reports, audits, standard operating procedures, legal agreements, 501(c)(3) procedures, income tax reports, and investments.
  8. Coordinates all committee work of the ACC Foundation. Leads and supports the ACC Foundation Board in their efforts to support the needs of the College.
  9. Leads the ACC Foundation Board of Directors through periodic mission, vision and goal setting. Provides training to the ACC Foundation Board and volunteers.
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Executive Committee of the ACC Foundation or the President.
