General Statement of Job

To provide educational workforce integration, career navigation and follow up services that support participants enrolled in Adult Education Programs.

NOTE: This is a grant funded position through 6/30/2021.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Evaluate and integrate workforce curriculum into Career Pathway classes.
  2. Responsible for tracking and monitoring student employment, education, and certification completion.
  3. Collect, document, and organize information on student educational outcomes, employment, participant earnings, enrollment and progress in post- secondary education or training and credential attainment after participant exit.  Maintain participant files.
  4. Assists with student intake and other events that pertain to the promotion and recruitment of students.
  5. Responsible for continuous quality improvement process for Career Pathways, including instructional observations, classroom visits, and syllabi checks.
  6. Provides assistance to instructors with issues arising in the classroom or with students, and provides solutions with measurable outcomes.
  7. Provide Workforce partners with monthly program and participant updates.
  8. Provides technical assistance to instructors, recruiters/advisors, and students.
  9. Coordinates one or more programs within the Adult Education arena and represents those programs to internal and external partners.
  10. Works with Professional Development Coordinator on instructor training, including compliance with grant mandates. Assists with orienting and assigning mentors to new instructors.
  11. Assists in negotiating, reviewing, and updating contracts and agreements with community partners. Meets with key partnership personnel, coordinates services, provides annual statistics and reports, and evaluates facilities.
  12. Orders and inventories materials including books, distance learning seats, instructional supplies, and office supplies.
  13. Works with AE staff to maintain and update student data systems (attendance, Ellucian Colleague, and federal reporting). Evaluates and maintains records such as test scores and statistics, class contact hours, attendance, instructor comments, and class grades.
  14. Provide workforce integration and follow-up services after participant exit, in collaboration with workforce partners.
