General Statement of Job

To perform complex repairs and maintenance on the facilities automation controls throughout Austin Community College (ACC).

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Performs commissioning and start-up of HVAC and Building systems including troubleshooting of systems.
  2. Provides updated control drawings of field changes and discrepancies for final engineering drawings.
  3. Creates, reviews, and uploads point database; creates graphics in Central Processing Unit (CPU).
  4. Verifies point database and programming operations are consistent with scope of work.
  5. Verifies consistency with the contracted scope of work (IE Commissioning Agents or test and balance contractors, others); participated in final inspection and testing operations.
  6. Installs and programs building automation systems.
  7. Create and/or install graphics.
  8. Troubleshoot system failures and recommend and/or carry out corrective measures.
  9. Perform periodic maintenance and calibration on system components.
  10. Set-up and maintain system tread logs needed for diagnostics and repairs.
  11. Perform system database maintenance and back-up/restore functions as needed.
  12. Performs sensor troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, DVM, and digital metering or calibration equipment.
