General Statement of Job

To work with community colleges across the country, under the direction of the Project Principal Investigator (PI), to help them design, implement, and assess an undergraduate science research program. The Project Manager will work with the PI to ensure that the project deliverables are achieved, evaluated and reported to the National Science Foundation (NSF) in a timely manner.  The project deliverables are based on the goals of the NSF-funded National Advanced Technological Education (ATE) Center.  This is a grant-funded position through October 2024.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Oversees, coordinates, implements and facilitates all stages of the NSF Grant including data management, documentation and reporting of program deliverables.
  2. Coordinates with College personnel and industry partners involved in the NSF Grant. Coordinates schedules, instructors, materials, participant documents and other grant related requirements.
  3. Performs technical, analytical, and related tasks for the collection, interpretation, aggregation, and evaluation of data; incorporates data for grant reporting and management purposes.
  4. Coordinates with the PI of the NSF Grant as well as partnering colleges for all grant management aspects.
  5. Leads the development and writing of monthly and final grant reports and newsletters.
  6. Works with Business Services on grant funding and budgeting including administer travel budget and paperwork for grant staff.
  7. Works with community based organizations, high schools and other institutions of higher education regarding the NSF Grant.
  8. Plans and delivers NSF Grant workshops, faculty development workshops and other training events on a local and national level including NVC meetings.
  9. May represent the Director of the NSF Grant at meetings.
