General Statement of Job

To coordinate the development of the college catalog and to provide complex administrative and technical support for college administrators, instructional programs, and internal departments.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Coordinates the development and ongoing update process for generating the college catalog.  Process curriculum and course content and related data entered into a variety of computer databases.
  2. Supports and assists supervisor with the coordination and management of curriculum content including schedule preparation and development of catalog course descriptions and award plans.
  3. Works closely with the administration, catalog process holders, instructional programs, and college departments to ensure accurate and timely updates to curricular and marketing content, including guided pathways content in area of study program maps.
  4. Develops and analyzes audit reports to ensure data accuracy of various reporting systems in relation to catalog production marketing content, including guided pathways content in areas of study program maps.
  5. Coordinates proofing of catalog components and program maps with instructional departments and applies necessary edits, coordinates updates with appropriate catalog process holder, and facilitates program changes through the shared governance process.
  6. Serves as a liaison with web administrators/designers and the Public Information and College Marketing staff with online catalog updates and modifications.
  7. Serves as liaison between Office of Curriculum Development and Information Technology (IT) in managing functions of cataloging software systems.
  8. Responds to inquiries of varying complexity, identifies issues and solutions based on knowledge of the curriculum process, and ensures satisfactory resolutions are achieved.
  9. Assists with the development and maintenance of the Schedule Development website, including posting catalog related reports, problem solving website issues, and serving as a liaison with the college's Web Manager.
  10. May serve as back-up to Supervisor, Instructional Support Services in Curriculum Committee meetings.
