Note: Reliable transportation may be required for teaching at multiple campus locations.
Hours Hourly Instruction Librarians (HILs) may not work more than 19 hours per week, district-wide.
Salary $23.25/hr

To provide point­-of-­use instruction at library reference desks, and research and information services to students, faculty and staff.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Provides ACC Campus Library Services reference & instructional services to ACC students, faculty and staff, including in­ person, phone, email and library chat.

  2. Works with other ACC Library Services and primary campus library faculty and staff, maintaining records and statistical data and, as assigned, collection maintenance, subject bibliography, information literacy support, web or wiki page maintenance, special projects, and reports.
  3. Participates in critical recordkeeping practices including using reference desk software designed to gather student learning outcome data.
