General Statement of Job

To provide administrative and operations support for Campus Operations district wide related to custodial services and event set up.
 

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Supports the day-to-day operations of the custodial services operations at Austin Community College.
  2. Ensures all details of event set up and clean up are performed, including tracking all rental items received and returned, pick up and drop off of laundry at cleaners, and items returned to proper storage.
  3. Arranges for the delivery and set-up of equipment for all events.
  4. May collaborate with and verify details with clients, vendors, and ACC offices and employees to produce events.
  5. Assists with scheduling of custodial staff for special events.
  6. May train custodial staff as assigned.
  7. May schedule meetings, and assist in the scheduling of custodial staff for daily work schedules as well as special events.
  8. May arrange for substitute as needed and dispatch staff for emergency requests.
  9. Assists in the scheduling of seasonal cleaning.
  10. May disseminate information at staff meetings or shift changes.
  11. May gather information regarding accidents/incidents, compile findings, and submit reports along with recommendations for improvement to manager and any other entity within the college with a need to know.
  12. May issue equipment and other work-related technology/work gear, maintaining a log of check in/out.
