To support and staff the student assistance /public service desk in the open access computer labs.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Staffs the student assistance /public service desk in the open access computer labs.
  2. Provides support and answers questions in the computer labs.
  3. Maintains lab; monitors for cleanliness and organization.
  4. Maintains student support equipment, including printers.
  5. Tracks questions from students in Deskstats such as number of students entering the lab as well as types of equipment used.
  6. Maintains relationship with IT for supporting hardware and reporting hardware or network issues to it through formal communication process (including Mojo tracking system).
  7. Attends continuous learning activities including workshops, online learning, etc. such as Lynda.com  for professional development.
