General Statement of Job

Manages logistical needs, master schedule, coordinates events, maintenance, warranties, contracts, and personnel for the Public Safety Training Center (PSTC) facilities.

PLEASE NOTE:
A supplement will be included in the salary rate of this position for a revised range of $55,796 - $77,087.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Manages contracts and memorandums of understanding (MOU) for PSTC commitments.
  2. Manages all equipment warranty, maintenance records, inventory, standard operating procedures (SOP) and schedules of the PSTC facility, including coordinating the design and implementation of all maintenance and training SOP's for PSTC buildings and equipment.
  3. Manages supply chain including training request, maintaining records for scheduling facilities, equipment, and adjuncts for PSTC training commitments.
  4. Manages procurement and purchasing of new and replacement PSTC equipment.
  5. Manages, updates, and coordinates all maintenance, maintenance contracts, and training procedures for firing range to maximize consistent usage.
  6. Manages, updates, and coordinates all maintenance, maintenance contracts and training procedures for the emergency vehicle operations course (EVOC) driving track to maximize consistent usage.
  7. Manages, updates, and coordinates all maintenance, maintenance contracts, and training procedures for Force on Force Training Complex, including the Defensive Tactics room to maximize consistent usage.
  8. Manages, updates, and coordinates all maintenance, maintenance contracts, and training procedures for all training rooms and common areas to maximize consistent usage.
  9. Provides individual and group instruction on proper Force on Force training techniques including firearms safety, handling, shooting, targeting, and training.
  10. Assists with oversight of PSTC activities ensuring accordance with college policies and PSTC procedures.
  11. Assists with safety oversight to ensure no live weapons or ammunition are allowed into the Force on Force Training Complex.
  12. Assist with repairs of training equipment; storage and records of all training equipment including safety gear, firearms, ammunition, and targets.
  13. Assists the PSTC director, range master and PSTC training manager as needed.
  14. Maintains maintenance records, equipment warranties, contracts and scheduling records, of PSTC facilities and equipment.
  15. Submits reports to the Director, as required.
  16. Oversees assigned staff, hourly instructors and adjunct faculty during any PSTC activities, operations, and use.
  17. May oversee, assist, or lead training conducted at the PSTC.
