Hours 40 hours/week as assigned; Generally Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm with occasional evenings and weekends as required

General Statement of Job

Responsible for providing leadership, expertise, and management for the administration of parking, transportation, operations fleet management and event services.  Develops and implements systems to effectively operate the on-site parking, including 3400 plus garage parking spaces as well as surface lots through the Austin Community College District.  

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Manages ACC parking, transportation and event management program. Oversees the operation of parking structures, related permit sales, enforcement, communications, maintenance and events to ensure quality performance.
  2. Analyzes available parking asset report information for trends and opportunities; Verifies and reviews the monthly parking summary for accuracy and communicates any issues or discrepancies.
  3. Directs the development, implementation and adherence to the assigned operating and capital budget.
  4. Tracks and monitors operational costs and supplies across the parking portfolio; review discrepancies or variances for parking and event planning.
  5. Routinely inspects and documents inspections of property within the transportation portfolio.
  6. Oversees parking and transportation related vendors.
  7. Supervises, trains, coaches, directs, coordinates, and disciplines personnel while adhering to the organizational human resources policies and procedures as well as related employment laws. Recommends hire and termination personnel actions for positions supervised.
  8. Ensures that parking, transportation and event related inquiries and complaints are addressed in a timely manner.
  9. Works with the ACC Incident Command Center to accommodate special event parking, communications and security.
  10. Works closely with ACC Departments to support special events.
  11. Serves as a member of the ACC Emergency Operations Center Team.
