Position Information

Location Highland Business Center
Hours 40 hours/week as assigned; Generally Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm with some nights and weekends
Salary Assistant 4/114 ($31,200.00 - $34,859.00)

General Statement of Job

Assists in the coordination of a multitude of appearances for the ACC Riverbat Mascot and in the planning of special events in support of the College's positive brand awareness, strategic marketing goals, and educational mission to reach and engage with culturally diverse communities.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Assist the Riverbat at appearances and coordinate with clients to ensure event success.
  2. Choreograph mascot skits, dance routines, and other forms of related entertainment.
  3. Assist in training and continued development of student mascots.
  4. Research and identify opportunities to grow the identity and presence of the mascot and the Riverbat brand to enhance College engagement in multicultural communities.
  5. Assist in managing the official Riverbat social media accounts.
  6. Establish and maintain relationships with community partners.
  7. Oversee, at the direction of the Marketing Events Coordinator, mascot costume operations including care, cleaning, maintenance, etc.
  8. Perform as lead mascot for VIP events.
  9. Provide support for community and team appearances including, but not limited to sponsors, charities, media, private functions, and other events.
  10. Maintain merchandise and departmental items as needed.
  11. Maintain inventory of all mascot-related merchandise.
