Hours 40 hours/week as assigned; Monday-Friday, either 8-5 or 9-6. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

General Statement of Job

Responsible for providing leadership in the design and coordination of creative projects, from concept to production. Manages, develops, and executes creative concepts that support marketing efforts for the college, both internally and externally, through traditional and digital mediums to reach and engage with culturally diverse audiences.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Oversees the artistic execution of marketing strategies for ACC's Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM).
  2. Works with associate directors of marketing and transmedia communication to develop and implement creative execution of marketing campaigns and other projects that meet the college's strategic goals.
  3. Leads the creative team, including graphic designers, front-end/web UI developer, photographer, copywriter, and videographer/producer.
  4. Administers and executes the design and production of college publications, ads and collateral materials, direct mail, and recruitment materials.
  5. Supervises, coordinates, and ensures on-time and orderly flow of all creative/production from concept to delivery.
  6. Ensures a consistent look across all mediums that meets strategic goals and adheres to the college's brand identity.
  7. Manages and schedules daily activities of graphic design team. Manages and tracks the design, production, and approval process.
  8. Performs complex design using job-required software applications and in-depth knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design, as needed.
  9. Serves as client liaison and creative project management lead.
  10. Maintains quality standards across the production of all creative work.
  11. Plans and executes marketing photo shoots including booking, pre-production meetings, onsite artistic direction, talent release forms, and routing for approvals.
  12. Works with lead designer to administer the printing of all marketing materials: secures bids, negotiates prices, etc.
  13. Works with OCM leadership to update and manage the college's brand style guide.
  14. Collaborates with communications team to manage design of annual reports.
  15. Fosters partnerships across the college to support brand standards and best practices.
  16. Provides progress and creative services reports to Director of Marketing and Vice President of Communications & Marketing.
