General Statement of Job

To provide planning, implementation, supervision and coordination services for internship placement and monitoring, and industry partner recruitment and relations.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Assists in the establishment and maintenance of appropriate internship experiences.
  2. Develops and maintains lists of vetted internship opportunities for all departments.
  3. Maintains a working knowledge of all certificates and degrees with internship programs, and vets internship opportunities with regard to applicable certificates and degrees.
  4. Recruits internships opportunities for each department each semester.
  5. Trains faculty on Office of Experiential Learning (OEL) processes, state and federal internship regulations, and best practices.
  6. Works directly with internship class instructors to customize their programs.
  7. Assists faculty with employer events/ employer recruitment.
  8. Performs emergency placement services.
  9. Administers internship evaluation process/ surveys for all parties.
  10. Maintain electronic records of all internship agreements in Salesforce CRM.
  11. Develop and submit regular reports to Director of Experiential Learning, Department Chairs and Faculty with internship data collected in Salesforce CRM.
  12. Develop, maintain and instruct faculty development regarding internship practices, protocols and college regulations, either through in person training or online through Blackboard.
  13. Review faculty internship course curriculum to ensure compliance with federal, state, and ACC requirements.
  14. Conduct and compare national research to identify trends, standards and practices for internships at the University and Community College level.
  15. Meet regularly with Salesforce CRM development team to propose changes to database and explore new strategies to improve system.
  16. May provide supervision to others as needed or directed.
