General Statement of Job

To provide technical support and management of the daily use of technologies in classrooms, multimedia event spaces, conference rooms, and teaching labs to ensure an adaptive, flexible, and rich learning environment for the students. Collaborates with Austin Community College (ACC) departments in the integration of digital media technologies for instructional use and staff communication.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Provides technical support of large multimedia events that require PA system, video projection, and video streaming.
  2. Provides technical support, maintenance, and repair of all ACC multimedia technology infrastructure.
  3. Provides technical support of instructional technologies in the classroom including hardware and software applications.
  4. Provides technical support of ACC technology resources for use by faculty, students, internal departments, and external organizations.
  5. Tracks service requests, IT tickets, and room usage.
  6. Manages inventory of departmental assets.
  7. Assists with creation of digital assets for multimedia events.
  8. Oversees workflow of hourly employees and departmental interns.
  9. Participates in regular staff meetings, staff training programs, and accepts the responsibility for aiding the development of positive team relationships.
