General Statement of Job

To serve as the lead content writer for marketing copy across multiple channels to raise positive awareness of the college's brand and generate interest and demand for its programs and services.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Writes and edits tight, impactful copy with compelling headlines and calls-to-action across all marketing channels to grow positive awareness and drive web traffic, engagement, leads, and conversations. Includes a variety of digital advertising, web landing pages, email, social media content, multimedia, radio advertising, signage, print materials, and infographics.
  2. Maintains content lifecycle workflow, from creation through approvals, editing, publishing/activation, measurement, curation, and maintenance.
  3. Works collaboratively with marketing and social media teams to develop sources, pitch story ideas, create and share content through various channels to grow audiences and drive engagement, and contribute to the overall marketing objectives.
  4. Works collaboratively with college relations teams to produce effective messages on the ACC website, college-wide promotions, and campus communications.
  5. Edits, proofreads and improves marketing content to ensure messaging is on-brand.
  6. Uses analytics tools to provide insight to optimize and improve content effectiveness.
  7. As needed, works directly with internal clients to learn about the subject matter, develop and refine content, managing reviews, feedback, edits, and the overall client relationship on projects.
