General Statement of Job

To provide support to the Adult Education Staff Development Supervisor under the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Grant.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Monitors training records of instructors, staff, and consortium members to ensure annual requirements are met. Assists in contacting instructors and staff.
  2. Assists with ongoing mentoring, training, and support of new instructors and other instructors as needed.
  3. Helps maintain and update the faculty handbook, the professional development section of the faculty/staff website and the professional development calendar.
  4. Provides assistance with recruitment, registration, and the logistics of scheduling and implementation of training sessions and professional development events. Also provides support to the Adult Education staff development supervisor and trainers during professional development events.
  5. Creates instructional materials and resources for substitutes and teachers.
  6. Assists in the development and revision of forms, surveys and documents; helps compile data and prepare reports.
  7. Develops and presents workshops and conducts other training as needed.
  8. May help with hourly instructor interviews.
