Hours 40 hours/week as assigned; Generally Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm with some possible evenings/weekends

General Statement of Job

Responsible for visually illustrating college and campus life and academic programs for promotional and informational use by the college. Responsibilities include supplying high-quality photographic images for use in the college's day-to-day operations, official publications, marketing campaigns, social media endeavors, webpages, and other uses deemed appropriate by the Executive Director of Public Information and College Marketing (PICM).

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Creates and edits high-quality photos in coordination with Public Information and College Marketing (PICM) staff. Advises supervisor and clients of progress.
  2. Translates raw concepts and ideas into compelling imagery, either from his/her own concept or those of other staff members, within prescribed deadline.
  3. Responsible for all aspects of photo production, including lighting, editing, digital input, and file management.
  4. Manages and organizes photo archives for easy access and optimum search capabilities using a digital asset management system.
  5. Manages and archives talent release forms.
  6. Processes requests for digital or print copies of archived photos.
  7. Makes photos available on location shoots to PICM staff for immediate use on social media platforms.
  8. Effectively uses photo studio and portable studio lighting on location.
  9. Researches and remains current on digital photography/videography techniques and trends.
  10. Maintains camera equipment and supplies.
  11. Collaborates with the social media team, including marketing videographer and social media coordinator, on appropriate creative strategies and executions for various formats.
  12. Supports the college's marketing and communications campaigns.
