General Statement of Job

To provide specialized support for the Institutional Planning & Evaluations and Academic Outcomes Assessment offices; To assist in administering and operationally supporting a collegewide assessment and planning database; To provide assistance in the assessment of instructional outcomes and institutional planning objectives.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Works with the maintenance and troubleshooting of the assessment and planning database. Identifies and reports technical problems that need to be addressed, and assigns user access and permissions.
  2. Assists with the design and maintenance of websites, including the Institutional Planning and Evaluation website and the Academic Outcomes Assessment website as requested.
  3. Consults with stakeholders individually and makes presentations to groups on the quality/content of assessment and planning approaches and practices.
  4. Collects technical and administrative information and compiles data for reports.
  5. Creates graphical presentations of data for internal and external reports; performs various computer activities using word processing, spreadsheets, presentation and survey development software to produce handouts, newsletters, brochures, presentation slides, or other documents, as needed.
  6. Assists with writing comprehensive user instructions for the assessment database and related documentation.
  7. Utilizes video and sound editing software to develop, implement, and maintain advanced software video tutorials that support and supplement departmental efforts. 
  8. Researches and applies up-to-date approaches to the development and maintenance of resources for stakeholders in the areas of planning and assessment.
  9. Assists in evaluating and analyzing survey results for report compilation and distribution.
  10. Maintains standards and procedural documentation related to reporting solutions; revises forms to reflect changes in policies and procedures.
